A Full-Day Elephant Adventure in Muang Kud

Morning Activities: Muang Kud Arrival, Elephant Food Preparation and Feeding

Start your day with a pick-up from your hotel in Chiang Mai between 8:00 am to 8:30 am, and then travel roughly to Muang Kud Camp, 45 kilometers away.   

When you arrive, the camp will welcome you and give you traditional mahout clothing with a quick orientation to elephant care and they also instruct you on basic commands. 

Discover elephant dietary habits and participate in preparing their meals. Assist the animal keeper in harvesting bananas and sugar cane, and cutting various grasses from the farm. Cherish the moment as you spend time with them and eat the food that you prepared.

Lunch Break 

Savor a tasty and authentic Thai lunch at the camp while learning some interesting facts about the behavior and habits of the gentle giants and how to communicate with them.  

Afternoon Activities: Post-Lunch Workshop and Elephant Bathing   

After your lunch break, you’ll learn how to make special foods using herbs. These herb mixtures are used for both cooking and helping sick animals. 

Next, take your time strolling with the gentle elephants. And then take them to the river for their daily bath. Assist in bathing the elephants in the river with the guidance of the camp staff, as it is one of the best parts of the tour, which gives fun for both of you and the elephants.

Finally, guide the gentle elephants back through the forest to the camp, where it’s time to say goodbye.
